We held a seminar as an opportunity for policy makers to meet us, hear about our research and discuss how we can work together to facilitate the translation of policy into practice.

Professor Philippa Howden-Chapman spoke about how some of her groups’ research findings were translated into policy & practice.

Professor Nevil Pierse and PhD student Clare Aspinall presented findings on homelessness and health. They explore why Housing First aims to improve health outcomes before tackling anything else. And what that might mean for current policy in health and key sectors that contribute to improving population health and health equity.

Presentation: Philippa Howden-Chapman, Housing & health – how past research has and hasn’t influenced policy; Nevil Pierse & Clare Aspinall, Homelessness and health, recent findings, pdf.
